Clutch Help!?!?
ok I have a quartermaster twin with hydraulic throw out bearing just put in. Clutch have about 800-1000 miles on break in and no launches this car is not not a DD may be driven 2-3 times a month. Well car have been sitting for many months went to go start it up and drive it when I notice it feels like its slipping but under such low load I can give it so gas I will start moving but wen I get to around 3000rmps my rpms keep going up I start building boost but im not moving. Most people would say sounds like boost leak well I have done the falling and still having same problem.
-boost leaked tested car twice using smoke and soapy water even changed out couplers just in case
- tested both fuel pumps and fuel system in my double pumper im getting fuel
- bleed clutch and change fluids
- visually check clutch looking throw top and bottom breather holes also looked though front everything seems to check out
do anybody have any ideas or things I could try or maybe check and look at I wanna do everything I can before I need to pull tranny which is not a fun task I have heard some many things from I need to go out and launch the car a couple of times to I didn't heat cycle the clutch right so if you can shin some light on my problem I would be grateful and thanks for your time

With 1000 miles on it I seriously doubt it could be the clutch. It's still going through its break in period for the most part. Unless the flywheel wasn't resurfaced or the plate is defective I just don't see that being the issue. It is kind of a rough test but if it was my car I would put it in 3rd gear at a stop and try to take off from that stop in 3rd gear. The car should die instantaneously. If it moves forward a little bit or sputters and is still running for a couple seconds then it is definitely slipping. Good luck.
If you are in gear it is not possible(not including some catastrophic failure) for RPM's to increase without an increase in speed (not including traction issues) unless the clutch is slipping.
^^^^ It's pretty obvious but he is 100% correct, I just find it really hard to believe a clutch with 1k miles on it would be bad. I guess as previously stated it could be defective. What kind of clutch do you have and is it on the stock flywheel? Have you tried adjusting the clutch pedal to make sure it is fully "engaging" when you are in gear? Otherwise its like you are driving around "riding the clutch" 24/7 which would make it go out really quick.

If tach goes up but speedo doesn't it is slipping. Now, if it has been sitting for awhile it could be that the brakes have rusted solid or something and the car can't move. Still, a good clutch should kill the engine.
Considering it was just installed it would make sense if the clutch was installed incorrectly or something is defective. I would get in contact with the Clutch MFG and the Hydraulic TOB mfg explain whats going on and see what they say. Did you do the install yourself? If so i would take a look at that Hydrolic TOB through the view port on the tranny and make sure its letting the pressure plate fully seat, and make sure all the PP bolts are nice and tight.

Don't think brakes are rusted soild car sits in a heated garage also I still fire car here and there and let warm up maybe drive around block.... Its just odd how its all brand new and I have not driven it hard yet it slips.....something must be defictive it seems like
after install it was fine I started breaking clutch in took me a little to get around the mile I have on clutch do to I didn't drive it every day I woke up just like any other day and it just started out of no where
