next modification opinion

So im debating btwn doing a set of br 272 cams or a sheepy exhaust manifold.
My evo already has a built bottom end built tranny full bolt ons with a 20g upgraded evo ix turbo. Im still running the stock Exhaust manifold tho and im lookibg for the top end of the tubular manifold. I do wantnmore power tho.

IIm just lookibg for some opinions. The manifold would be easy to install and I can do that myself with no problens whatsoever. Yhe cams would have to be done by a shop cuz I dont have all the tools id need even with the multiple writeups ive found. Im very comfortable workibg on my car but idk if im comfortable enough to cam swap.

Opinions please

Save your money and send in your manifold to Buschur and get it ported.

Upgrade the cams to GSC S2s and switch over the fuel to E-85.

Pick up a set if GSC S2 cams, they cost 550 give or take. Then you can either go pick up a FP cast manifold for 400 or get your stocker ported for like 150. Either way you're still less than the price for just the tubular manifold.

Any opinions on ibstalling cams and then waiting for a tune?
Buschur wont be coming until thw end of march which means I would have to wait a month roughly in order to get a tune.
Ive reaf threads about stayibg in vacuum but it makes me nervous

Just wait til it's time for the tune.

Problem with this is David Buschur is apparently coming to nm end of March. However I am not sure if it FOR SURE. Therefore it's a risk to try and make an appointment to get the cams installed to then find out he isn't able to make it. Then I'd be stuck waiting for another local tuner who is enormously difficult to get scheduled with.

Dam problems of Evo owners haha

Why don't you give Tom at TSComp a call and have him do a remote tune

Here's a great idea. I know sometimes he's pretty booked, but I'm sure he'd get to you before the end of March. I know tom is a great tuner and def gets my vote here.
