AEM intake

OK so when I bought my evo it had an AEM intake no big deal I thought AEM is a decent brand I will leave that alone, car was tuned it ran good everything like that. Well its an 8 so it has the intercooler sprayer, and the filter sits on top of the hinges of the sprayer reservoir so it puts little marks in my filter.

I was thinking well all AEM intakes must be like that its weird they would route it like that. Whatever.

So i took the MAF off and the intake pipe, whoever had it CUT the pipe at the AEM logo. I don't even know if this pipe is made for an evo, it has the bov recirc bunge so I always assumed it was.

I either delete the intercooler tank (which I know doesn't do **** so I probably will anyway) or I get a new intake which I don't really have the money for but I cant keep putting holes in filters either.

Post a pic so we can see what you're working with. You can also go to the AEM website & see if the model you have on yours matches up.

Well yours is an '03 & mines a '05 so there's going to be some differences, but when you get home see if you can find a part number & post up what you can.

Salt much lol jk? Why don't you just shorten the coupler next to the maf? That should move it far enough away from the tank.

Your DV is on backwards too judging by the pic. Bottom port needs to go to the UICP side port to Intake.

you sure the dv is backwards? cause when I put it the other way it makes that high pitched fluttering noise. I think thats an old pic and I changed it cause in the pics below its the other way. which were yesterday lol.
