i buy my bulbs from www.theretrofitsource.com. currently have 35w 5000k morimoto 3five's and like them. 4300k and 5000k are the only two temperatures i'd run for headlights

5k will barely have any blue in it. 4300 is the most white.

www.thehidguy.com is also a great source for HID bulbs.

The size is D2S.

There are no upgrades beyond a OEM quality HID bulb. Most of the cheap chinese bulbs will burn out in a short time... I mean think of it, your OEM bulb lasted 8 years!!!

Get a quality Osram/Sylvania bulb (OEM) and be done with it.

Here's one on Ebay for $35 for a quick search

I pulled two bulb types out of my car when I changed the hid kits. Drivers was than xanarc one in the pic, passengers side was a Phillips. Changed to an entire aftermarket kit because te the drivers side smoked and internally shorted. Don't believe it had anything to do wih the bulb, in case anyone thinks I'm making it sound that way.

Do not order from theretrofitsource.com!

I ordered from the retrofit source and received a confirmation email with a tracking number. After 2 weeks of the tracking number status not changing from ELECTRONIC INFORMATION RECIEVED I contacted them via email. I stated I need them ASAP so I could get my NY state inspection on my vehicle. The replied that they would look into it. Few days later I emailed them again and now I'm irritated. This time they assured me the package was sent out and I would have it anytime now and that the USPS are
lax on updating tracking info. Finally after the 3rd week of nothing I emailed them on that Friday and stated I want my package or I want a refund by the following Monday. Monday at 8am I received a notice via my PayPal app that I was fully refunded. It was very unprofessional when all I wanted was what I orded and not BS excuses. Anyways, buy with caution.

IT TOOK 12 YEARS of DD use as my sole vehicle for one of the stock hid bulbs to finally quit on me. 6 months ago i purchased a pair of chinezy 5000k D2s from ebay or amazon for the price of $12.00 (i cant remember). Only 6 months and my driver side bulb quit. STOCK lasted 12 YEARS vs. CHINESE GARBAGE lasted 6 MONTHS. lesson learned; chinese products are, in general, a waste of time.

Have you verified its not the ballast? My 03 evo finally had a bad ballast back in 2013 and replaced it with another one. Worked great since then.

I replaced my bulb and ballast with one step up in brightness(wavelength) and 5w higher with HID pro. Looks way better and works great.

No. This is an example of buying a cheap product and getting cheap results.
