Will Mitsu get a Clue with Ralliart

http://www.mopar.com/srt_stage_3.htm

My friend and his new SRT4 get a full tank of premium gas and carwashes any time he stops by the dealership. His mods are also all warrantied and come from and are installed at the dealership. 300hp & 300ft-lbs in a 350 lbs lighter package than an evo with factory 7yr warranty, with proper treatment.. Is Mitsubishi paying attention?

I love the precision of the Evo, but will Mitsu learn to stand behind their flagship car or just leave purchasers out in the pouring rain..

Mitsu, please treat your customers and potential customers with some appreciation.. I really want an MR with 6spd SMT, cruise, and underbody aero (like the G35s).. and Ralliart factory warrantied bits when things get too comfortable.

Is Anyone in the DFW area receiving proper treatment before, during and after the Evo purchase?

I hear you. My first trip to the dealer at only alittle over 1,000 miles and they grilled me more if I had mods on the car than what was wrong with it and the fact it broke so quick. WTF

i'm talking to a dealer in irving about buying my car next week. they are working hard to make hold the car for me until i can get up there. the salesman is very courteous and respons to my calls instantly.

i have a friend in ohio with an srt-4 and he says that none of the upgrades are factory warrentied. maybe just your friend's dealership is honoring the deal?

Someone here put it very, very appropriately: everyone gets good customer service... when they're buying something.

Unfortunately, don't expect anything to change at MMC. They've been dicks about warranties back in the days of the 3000GT. Dealerships are hit and miss with the mods: my dealer didn't say anything about the boost controller and filter. Others will even install mods for you, though I have not heard of a warranty on those parts or the installation. Most dealers will give anyone with a modded Evo a very difficult time.

Actually Mopar upgrades are not warrantied by the dealer. I even believe there is a disclaimer on Mopar's website saying so.
Actually just click on the bottom of the page:

Free premium fill ups plus a car wash? Hey, I'd make a weekly trip to my dealership if that were the case. The cost of ownership must really go down if you never have to buy gas

I found a link where a guy got turned down warranty work and all he had were Mopar parts.

http://srtforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38480

So pretty much, you will get screwed unless the car is 100% stock

He didn't get turned down. he just had to deal with some annoying ******. Though yeah sometimes some dealers are very uncool.. and most all Mitsu's are appearing to fall into this crowd. Hopefully more mopar parts and warranty coverage from manufacturers like dodge will force others to stand behind their products, especially when they are truly defective (some potential issues in the Evo drivetrain surface.. clutch, transfer case.)

I'm just wanting to see better customer treatment across the baord. Dodge looks like it's doing a commendable job with their modification parts and others *should* follow.

Regardless if they are factory staged upgrades, if they find the problem to be abuse, they will deny the coverage. i can't see getting a free tank of gas every time, especially the gas prices here in the west ($2.50 for 91). I'm lucky if my dealer has a new bottle on the water cooler.

I guess all Mitsu dealers are different, I just recently took mine in for a 5th gear grind...dropped it off Monday, picked it up Friday, everything works great and they washed it and did a damn good job...everytime I go I get great service and everybody is real nice...but my car is stock, so maybe that has somethin to do with it.

I agree. I spend probably a few thousand bucks a year on gas. What's in it for them?

wait till dodge has this car for 13 years with people just destroying them, and we will see if they continue to be so nice with warranty with it. Mitsu knows people will buy it regardless, Dodge HAS to find a way to sell this souped up neons.

Yeah, but its dodge, we're talking about here. When trying to gain a piece of the market share they'll give away a blow job for free.

I bought mine from Lou Fusz in Ellisville, MO. They at least gave me a free first oil change I asked the salesguy if they *****ed about mods and he said no, but you can't trust anything those bastards say so I asked the service techs when they did my oil change. They said that if the problem is a repercussion of the mods, then yes it may void the warranty, BUT if I install a new exhaust and the CV goes out then everything's still cool.
