There are a lot more options available now. Its hard for beginners to tell which projectors are going to fit.

Ideally you want a TSX projector. The FX-R's fit, but require a LOT of custom work on the evo housings. You have to cut into the blinker area and all that jazz

If anyone retrofits evo projectors, do yourself a favor and only use TSX projectors. You trim one corner of them and they can basically mount right up to the stock mounting points in the Evo

He should also have a hard time keeping this post open because group buys are prohibited by non-vendors.

I'm surprised a moderator contributed to this thread without closing it.

I was gauging interest. Not starting a groupbuy. It's obviously not going well so thanks for adding to the pile. Lol

I went to the forum they have and they've introduced the 3.0 d2s with comparison shots. You should look at it. I honestly don't want to do much cutting since I've never worked on this type of headlight and wouldn't want to risk damage and not be able to fix it.

You mean the Mini D2S? I wouldn't use that over a TSX projector if given the choice. the Mini D2S is a square lens, it will look like crap in a circular housing

I lied, they do still have the circular lense available with these

My opinion still stands that the TSX projector is the best to retrofit into an evo

Does the TSX projector require a lot of modification?

no, you basically just trim off one corner of the mounting bracket, drill new holes in the mounting bracket, and mount it on the stock bracket points on the evo headlights

I noticed the TSX projectors are listed as low-beam rather than bi-xenon. I'm assuming bi-xenon means low beam and high beam? If you have a bi-xenon projector do you need 2 separate hid ballasts, 1 for the low and 1 for the high? On an actual TSX do they have another projector for the high beam?

I feel like it would be nice to have both the low and high beams HID.
