valet mode?

what are the options for limiting performance when I let the boy drive the car?

I Think I saw Vishnu has a valet mode, any others?

I would like a system that could reduce boost, or power output
surreptitiously. (secretly)
thanks
proud papa but not dumb

You can set up a Valet mode with the AEM EMS.

No problem! For those of you who were wondering about this, you set up the secondary rev limit (the one that can be used for launch control etc) up to use a hidden switch instead of the clutch switch. Then when you turn the car over to someone else, you flip the switch and BAM! They are limited to whatever RPM you selected

UTEC and AEM EMS are the only ways to get a valet mode? That at least makes the decision easier.

now then, considering I am tuner disabled, any recommendations as to which system is best for me?

If you don't want to tune it yourself, find out who the best tuner in your area is, and go with wich ever system is his favorite. That way you get a really good tune without having to mess with it yourself.

Or you could get a dual stage boost controller and set the boost really low. It wouldn't be as restricted, but more affordable and easier to install.

Any ecu that allows you to switch maps on the fly is able to have a valet mode. As I am aware, valet mode is just a map that has a very low rev limit and a no boost.
