After a car wash car started to missfire only during wot. Pulled the plugs and there was a few drips of water under coil 1 on the spark plug. Dried it out with a small towel threw it back in and the car was fine under mutltiple wot pulls. Is this normal with the hoods we have?

 

Water can certainly get in there but I've never experienced what you just described. Does your hood have that louver thingy(not sure what to call it...) under the mesh?

 

Now that I think of it, I did an under hood detail because the engine bay was filthy. Even though there's a cover over the plugs I doubt its water tight?

 

Same thing happened when I first cleaned the engine bay of my old 1G DSM. Now I cover anything that is electrical based that can get messed up and usually use cleaning wipes for those.

 

Same happened to me after the auto body steam cleaned the engine bay.
