Its the same car everything is interchangeable

You'll need the ECU if you swap the engine though

Ok cool thats what I was thinking but wasn't sure . There's a lot of evo 8's and only a two evo 9's in the market where I am at. I am leaning towards the 9, well because its the newer gen but thought crossed my mind that parts might not be interchangeable, and if there aren't many 9's then there prob isn't a lot of aftermarket parts for them. Thanks again for the clarification!

I was being broad lol. But OP like gsrboi80 said just look it up, most parts can be swapped over. Very few things can't.

Go with the 9! Albeit they are 99% alike, the mivec from my experience makes driving a modified evo so much smoother!
