Question about Tephra for Evo 9 USDM

I have a 2006 USDM Evo 9 with the stock ECU map at the moment.

Iv'e used ECUFlash many times with my DSMs so I have a good understanding of how to use it.

My question is this:

I just put a turboback exhaust on the car and i'm getting the CEL for the cat. I dont want to use a "extender" and would like to disable the rear o2. I found in the Tephra ROM where to disable it, but before I flash the new map, I dont know if everything thing else is stock, (fuel maps, ignition maps, etc.).

I just wan to disable the o2 and run my car with everything else stock. Let me know.

P.S. I am going to use ROM ID 88590715 (please confirm correct one for me)

Tephra uses big maps, you will need to take your OEM map and use one of those excel converters to get it into the big maps. Also you will need to copy over your immobilizer hex if you want it to start. I would compare the settings and see whats different, look those things up and see if you should be copying your oem stuff over.

I understand how to disable it. Thanks though.

In the Tephra ROM, it does use "big" maps, but cant I just copy my stock map and where the stock one maxes out (I think around 280 load) and extend the AFR and ignition deeper with the same values to fill in the "big" maps?

There's an Excel program that does it for you and its 1000 times easier to use. Then once you use it all you have to do is fine tune the cells.

Ok I got the Excel program installed and seems to be working fine.

I still dont understand, if I have to go in and fix/change all the timing and fuel maps to work with my stock map, where did Tephra get all these values from?

Why waste all of our time to have to back and change all the values to a stock ROM and not just start stock from the beginning?
