Sticky throttle after new seals AND EGR blockoff

K so today I installed my new tb shaft seals. I also deleted EGR. Everything done proper, no issues. All ports capped and zip tied. Car drives great, no boost leaks. Weird thing is - sticky throttle when the car is RUNNING - not when it is off though.

To me it seems like a vacuum thing. Car idles high when it's sticky. But doesn't hunt and doesn't act like a boost leak. Anyone else have this issue ?

DOES NOT STICK WHEN CAR TURNED OFF

What did you lube the new seals with? Did you use "dry moly" to seal the plate? Is it centered properly?

i used dielectric grease to put them in, and no did not use dry moly.

the plate opens and closes with ease when the car is off. just sticks when idling.

A little white lithium grease on the seals and your sticky throttle issues should be gone...

i guess i should mention that its not sticking open, the gas pedal is stiff when idling etc. sticks and feels like you need to crack it

I fixed that by replacing the throttle cable once. was worse when it was cold out. It was like you had to apply 4x the normal pressure to break it loose from the idle position, but once it was free, then it felt normal. I think that's what you're describing right?

Dunno why it'd show up when you did these mods though.

Fixed. I put the tb gasket on backwards. Made some whacky vacuum. Anyway all good now thanks guys.

Careful working on no sleep, simple mistakes are annoying to fix when they didn't need to be fixed in the first place !
