Question Sticky gear shifter? Doesnt snap back into neutral?

Has anyone had an issue with their gear shifter getting stuck to the left or right, and not snapping back into the neutral position when taken out of gear? I know things get sticky when its cold but it happens to me after driving like 50 miles so the fluid is definitely warmed up? Sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesnt, cars got 22k on it and I never beat on it so I cant imagine why this is happening? any ideas?

I took it in yesterday! And of course it wasnt acting up, but I had a video on my phone so I showed the service manager, they looked at it and came back saying it was working and if it persists to take it in and theyll have to take pictures and send them to mitsu. But of course its acting up again today. annoying

Well if you want you can pull the base apart and make sure nothing is binding up.

And make sure nothing is fouling up the shifter cables/brackets under the hood.
