so i have an evo 8 and about a month ago i started hearing this ticking or clicking noise coming from the driver front wheel area. thinking it was the wheel bearing i replaced it, noised continued so i decided to replace the axle and i got the car back today and the noise is still there? im confused and out of ideas of what it could be, about 35 mph is when its really noticeable and goes away if i apply the brakes. any suggestions?

Can you get a video of the sound? Are you sure its in the wheel area and not in the engine bay? Can you jack the car up, spin the **** out of the wheel, and listen for the noise?

 

maybe a brake dust heatshield rubbing?

 

ill try jacking the car up and spinning the tire but i dont think that i can get it up to 35 mph lol thats when the noise becomes apparent? and i check brake shield and nothing is touching it
