Thanks bud, I tried that as well. But to pick up in NJ and drop off in Ohio is like $150 ish for the day, so cost is roughly the same if I do this twice (~$300)

Have you tried exploring other rental places like Budget or Penske? U-haul can't be the only option.

Penske has car trailers but they only let you take it if you are towing with one of their trucks. It was like that when I tried to rent from them like 6 yrs ago. May be different now.

From what I looked into, Budget and Penske do not rent car trailers. I did find another local place, but price was similar to U-Haul.
