accident

Left my car for 30 minutes to come back and find the right rear corner panel and door had been hit. No cameras in areas which sucks. If anyone does bodywork and could just give me a rough estimate of what they think it would cost to get it fixed before I call the insurance company. Thanks

Damn...sorry to hear about that! People nowadays are complete pieces of ****...Own up to your mistake and at the very least leave a note for pete's sake.

Looks like you'll need a quarter panel and passenger rear door and paint at the least....no clue on cost. Any damage to the passenger rear wheel & suspension parts?

Hang in there....it can be repaired.

No damage to wheel or suspension. But isn't the corner panel attached to the rest of the car. Meaning it doesn't separate and would have to bondo or some other way to fix it

that cant be repaired with bondo. You need a new quarter panel and rear door. Pounding that out and bondoing would be a ghetto repair. I would also just source a new rear door shell to replace that one. TBH you are looking at 5-8k in damage there. Because the car is a unibody it needs to be put on a frame jig while the old panel is cut out and the new one welded in, otherwise it may end up crooked. This is what full coverage insurance is for. Any place that isnt putting a new quarter panel into their quote is ripping you off / manipulating your estimate to get the work.

np and good luck. Ive been through something like this before and its rough because there are so many shops that want to cut corners. Either to pocket money or to keep the estimate low so that they will get the job. Really do your homework on the shop you entrust to do this repair. Personally i would goto the local porsche dealer and find out who they use. They will be familiar with high performance cars and will know what it truly takes to repair a high performance car properly.

my dad use to do body work and i know he could fix the door and quarter panel and actually do a really good job where you wont ever be able to tell it was this bad, i seen i done with my own eyes. To tell you the truth though its not worth fixing the door or the quarter panel, too much labor. its easier to replace the quarter with a new shell and get a new door. It will probably end up costing cheaper than fixing the original.

Yah that looks pretty low. Probably low to get the work or perhaps pre-negotiated rates with your insurer. Most likely supplements will be requested during the repairs.
