I am currently looking to buy a 06 mr and my question is did the mr ever come with the regular gsr bumper. The selling party claims the car is clean and accident free and the car was upgraded from the owner before. They have car fax. Or is the mr se that has the really different bumper.

What do you mean by MR bumper? you mean VIII or IX bumper? or the lip..

The bumper on the 9's is all the same, different lip for the SE model but thats about it.

bumpers are the same brah. only thing different is the lip, some have the "SE" lip

Well I noticed that most of the evo 9 MRs have a like inlet in front of the tire. I was kinda wondering if this would mean that it wasn't the original bumper. I know the car has a 3" intercooler now.

Might just be the lighting but that bumper looks to be a different color (or way faded) compared to the fenders.

The photos of the car for sale are a normal IX bumper.

The stock MR photo you posted, that car has the SE lip installed on the same IX bumper

And that's what I thought too. But the sun is also on front bumper far as I can tell. And the se lip looks solid to the bumper to me so it's confusing when I can't compare the two styles side by side in person. But thanks for everyone's help.
