I know that there are a bunch of these posted but everyone seems to have somewhat different symptoms.

So my car will start sometimes. But when it will not start it does not crank at all. I just replaced the starter 10 miles ago and thought the issue had cleared up but it happened again yesterday.
The battery and alternator are good.
Starter is brand new.
When I turn the key I hear a whirring in the front like the starter may be spinning but I could be wrong with that. When I replaced the starter the flywheel teeth looked healthy to me.
When the car doesn't start I get the p0335 code but if the cps was shot the car would still turn over.
I'm getting fed up with this starting issue so all help is greatly appreciated. Let me know if I'm leaving anything out.
