hey guys so i have had my evo since last october and everything has been great besides the slipping clutch which was replaced last november anyways so about 2 weeks ago my car started hesitating and jerking to the point that it was dieing and i poped the hood and found out the maf plug was falling out so i pluged it back in and everything went back to normal except now i feel like the car is alittle laggy and not pulling soo hard. i then started paying more attention to the boost guage and found out the car was going to 25-27psi should be at 21 as thats how it was before and it was running fine. yesterday coming home from a friends house i got off the highway and when i got to the stop light the car had a really rough idle and died on me about 4 times after letting it sit for about 5 min i started heading home and at every light i kept the idle up so she wouldent die....... any help would be much appriceated i just want my normal running evo back

 

check your Vacum lines..... this same thing happened to me..I found that 1 of my lines popped off and zip tied and the car has idled smooth ever since hope this helps

 

Yea start checking lines. Check around the wg and whatever your boost control is. One of the harder vac lines to find, and pretty commonly pop off, is the egr solenoid lines. Reach under the IM right beneath the TB...there's a little plastic terd with 2 nipples on it. The vac lines come off all the time and will make the car run crappy.

 

had similar issue end up being boost leak like others said check all the vacuum lines etc make sure there is no leak egr solenoid and the solenoid that goes to intake and waste gate actuator and turbo
