Haven't Modded my Evo for 4 years... What's new since then?
EatSleepBoost: Thanks for the info on injectors. I guess I'll have to see what IDC I end up with on my RC 750s, then see where I want to go from there. I've got "most" of the bolt-ons (see signature line) and the clutch to handle more power, so I think the next step is a nice responsive turbo. So, how does the new HTA green compare to the BBK-B? They seem like the flow is pretty similar, but I'm sure there are some feature differences...
This was the reason I left the VW community. All anyone seemed to care about was air ride and seeing how low they could go. Staggered wheels and stretched tire nonsense.
Me too, or at least on turbo cars or cars with performance potential. I cringe when I see a Evo or an STi or something of that nature slammed, especially when they've gotten into the engine. It's like, why did you even touch your engine when you'll never be able to use it since the car sits on its ***** now.
In the same boat as OP, I want to keep the DD aspect alive, plus want to pass smog so no swapping cams. I got a BBK Full, a ported stock manifold and an invidia O2 with 1300 FIC to install, will keep you posted
You can swap cams and pass smog. Plenty of people do/have, myself included, in California and have no problems. California has some of the strictest smog laws.
