Starting issue
Starting issue
Ok hoping to get a little insight. I have a starting issue on my 06 evo ix. When cold it has to crank over couple times before fuel pressure hits and fires up and then have to stay on the gas with the RPMS raised for a few before it finally idles and stays running. Fuel pump is good and pumping properly. Has Bosch 1150cc injectors and buschur double pumper. Was just retuned also, is there anything in the tune that might have effect on this? Fuses are good, going to check all the fuel pump relays to ensure they are good. Any other help would be appreciated!
When warm up at first start it will hesitate slightly but stable out and be just fine fairly quickly. But yeah cold it's very hard to keep it going. I do have the 1.3U cable and evoscan.

I had a similar issue.
On my fuel pump the plastic white spacer was missing, letting fuel pressure bleed down over night.
The fuel pump grommet needs to be flush.

Not sure how the dual pump setup sits...

I honestly don't think I have a issue with fuel bleeding off back into the tank. It seems like the computer isn't turning on the fuel pump right away. Which is why I am going to check the relays to make sure they are switching properly. Also led me to ask about tuning to see if some info there is messed up going to the computer.
