I wouldn't call it window shopping, I like to do research before I purchase any vehicle. This isnt my first EVO or my first car by far. But understandable good luck with the sale.

sellers car is priced fairly with the mods. pretty rare find.
basic principle here, dont like the price move on.
to be honest i would jump on that grey 05 in the link you posted. has the acd.

 

There's been a lot of threads in recent months about "what's my Evo worth" and so on. General consensus, if selling private party, is that a lightly modded/near stock/or fully stock Evo 9, you can pretty much name your price if the mileage is low and the body in good shape. On the 8's, depending on mileage and body condition and mods, probably low 20's on the high end and everything else falling somewhere between 12-19k or so. I can't see the email exchanges you had with the seller and what all was said or not said, but his car looks pretty clean, has very low miles for an 8, lightly modded, clean title. Has everything you say you wanted.

 

that's a clean car. To the OP, I would say this is a pretty good deal. You prob won't find many out there with 20k for less than 20k. People will pay money for these cars with low miles. Especially stock. Proves you weren't beating it. Took me a year to find an evo like this. Pay the extra couple g's.

Nice car PatNy! That RR 03 Evo looks very clean for the price!

Also, the 05's the OP posted are not comparing apples to apples. For starters that MR doesn't have the right HID headlights- looks like someone swapped them out with regular GSR/RS heads. MR's also have that 6 speed most people would prefer to swap out.
