I'm in the Cheyenne, Ft Collins, Denver area pretty often and see some pretty unkept Evos. Whether it be dumb body kits or just plain beat to sh*t. It saddens me to see such a great car going extint like they are. Pretty refreshing to see a group of guys that still take pride in their cars. Great job fellas.

Totally agree with you. I bought mine new in 2005 and it has 28, 900 miles on it now. I don't think I will ever sell it. Coming from a JAP Nissan Sunny turbo 2.0.

Choice wise, it's the car I've always wanted. I might get other cars, maybe a supra or something who knows, but I'd keep the evo. Evo until either it or me is dead.

Financially speaking, I'd sleep in it before I'd sell it. "Street Address: White Evo in walmart parking lot"

Also in my mid 30's, good to see there are so many of us around. Sometimes I feel old because just about everyone I know that has an Evo is in their early 20's.

I've had my 2005 Evo Rs for just over 4 years but had been wanting one for many years. I've had many cars in the past but the one car that sealed the deal in me getting in to an Evo was my 1g Eclipse GST. I loved that car until it finally died on me. It amazed me that Mitsubishi could get so much more power out of the same engine so I had to get one....Plus, I was about to have my first child and I needed a 4 door vehicle so this was the way to go.

Before the Evo, I had 20+ foxbody mustangs (according to the wife), multiple v8 rangers, Durango R/T, now Evo. Still have the mustang and durango for when I need to drive something else. Can't ever see selling the Evo, been in love since 2005. Didn't get it till last year though. I'm in my mid 30's now.

Got my IX SE at 28, I turn 31 in a month.

As a kid I saw rhd evos all the time growing up. IV, V and VI especially. When I was 15 and in my moms car and saw an Evo I used to tell her to let me out and I'd just go and look at the car. Sometimes I met the owner and we'd talk for a few minutes about the car and then I'd find my way home is the bus or walk depending on distance. I couldn't wait to own one eventually.

I started getting into 3D in University and it was fun because I could model, texture and light cars in Maya and Mental Ray...it was the closest I could get at the time.

I did that so much it eventually led to my career: albeit not desiging cars but making CGI in the film Industry for movies like Elysium, Man of Steel etc.

Moving up the ladder and making more money, eventually I was able to buy my own Evo after saving for quite some time. Funny how life works out...I literally loved the Evo so much I found my career because of it and eventually got my "dream" car.

Short of the apocalypse or a natural disaster I plan to keep her until I kick the bucket.

i went from an Integra Type R to my first IX MR because i was getting heavier into road racing. i panic-sold the car and ended up with a WRX. horrible idea. promptly bought another IX MR and haven't looked back since.
i'm going nowhere unless i add another car to the stable. i will never sell this car.

First car started with a 89 240sx, then went to a 98 mustang gt, then a 98 mits Gs-t,
then bought my first evo 8 at 25 drove for 4 years cause was my favorite of them all, sold it to buy house and ended up buying a 07 bmw328xi and lexus is250 cause thought I was over needing something fast and fun and not even a year later now im looking at evos again to buy cause I miss it to much or Just possible selling them all and buying a R35 GT-R, But my wife will prob kill me cause she thinks I should get something 4-door cause the fam. Havent completely made up my mind yet. Did go test Drive a new STI today though and it just wasn't the same definitely enjoyed the evo driving experience more.

I'm 31 now, and had my Evo IX SE since I bought it brand new in early 2007 (though I had another Evo before that for a year). My first car was a 1995 Honda Accord EX coupe, but I sold it in college and then drove a couple hand-me-downs that were extra cars at my family's household.

The car has managed to keep me entertained all these years, and that's with a bone stock car. I don't really feel like I'm getting too old for it, even though I do have my meetings where I show up in a suit, and I was even the president of a networking group involving doctors, lawyers, etc., but in most cases, they were curious about my car and never dismissive.

As far as where I want to go from here? Who knows. I've been happy with the car all these years, and even if I got another car, I'd like to still keep this one anyway. I love driving fast, but a few weeks ago I had a change to drive both a Cayman R and a 458 Italia on a track back-to-back, and they were amazing... but to be honest, oddly I didn't feel disappointed when I got back into my car. So as much as I'd love to get some fire-breathing beast next, I personally don't really need a car that will one-up my Evo.

I likely wouldn't want to spend a ton of money anyway, so as far as where to go from here... I'm not sure. I took my older brother car shopping this weekend, and he picked up a 2015 320i since we got a good deal. Cool car, and I wouldn't mind getting one, though I'd likely lean toward a 328i for the extra punch. The 320i is perfectly fine for DDing and I wouldn't really complain, but the 328i probably fits my wants a little better. We did also look at the new 2015 C300, and it's beautiful, but it just seems a little too elegant for me. Plus it starts at $40k anyway... I could do it, but I'd rather save the money or put it toward something else (ring fund, wedding fund, house fund, etc.).

After being in my brother's new BMW this past weekend, getting back into my car did make it seem very dated, but once I started driving it and taking some turns, I was reminded of why I still have it. Plus on that tank of all highway miles, I still managed 25.7 mpg, so it's not too bad on long trips. (I only get around 19-20 mpg on my commute though since it's pretty much in bad traffic the whole time, but it's only 6-7 miles each way, so it's not too bad off the highway.)

Turbo AWD 4ever

Got my 1st exposure to rally bred cars for the street with a Renault Alpine 5 and was hooked ever since. Watched the Audi Quatros dominate the WRC and of course the Evos later. Bought a 90 Eagle Talon new and owned a couple of DSMs after that. I consider my 98 GSX the best car I've ever driven (considering when it came out).

It's taken me a while but I've learned for myself that handling>power.

Had my 2003 Evo for 7+ years and I miss it.

Had a 2012 Mustang GT for 2 years and realized I made a mistake.

I've had my 2013 Evo for just over a year and realize it's the formula for me & my climate.

I get temped by a GT-R, but very expensive to own. Thinking about the forthcoming Civic Type R as a 2nd car, or Acura TL, or 328xi, or Fiesta ST...always thinking/debating.

But I'll always have a turbo/AWD car since it's so much fun (esp. Nov-April here). Maybe my Evo X, maybe a Focus RS (rumored to have AWD)...
