Initial D; EVO III Misfiring system??
Initial D; EVO III Misfiring system??
Im a fan of the Initial D anime series and im watching stage 2 when Takumi races the Emperor's black EVOIII. Takahashi Ryouske mentions that the EVO has a misfiring system, thats how its creating fireballs off its exhaust.... So exactly what is that? and does it exist? and what benefits does it give? and last but not least, where to get it?
Here's a link that can help you.. basically it's an Anti-Lag system, aka ALS. Used in rally cars (because engines only have to last a single race) it basically dumps fuel into the turbo to keep it spinning. You don't want it in a car that needs to go more than a couple hundred miles between overhauls.

Yes it is real. It's called an anti lag system. You wouldn't want it for a daily driven car, you would be replacing your turbo more than you would be changing your oil.

It keeps your turbo-spooled with mini-explosions. Don't bother unless you have the cash to replace your combustion/exhaust system every race like Rally Teams do because it'll destroy it.
Initial D is obviously not realistic.
There was a thread on anti-lag before, do a search.
