Blatant disrespect to the EVO
I'm sure a large majority of us are all still paying thru our noses for the EVO.. a large chunk of my paycheck goes into payments and fuel BUT we're loving it...
I mean, if i have to work so hard for a WRC bred car.. why not enjoy it in its domain? It makes working 12 hr days more endurable.. so you can reward yourself on the drive home...
and cars get dirty.. sometimes we dont have time to clean it... personally, my evo is my slave which i fed and clothe well... not the other way around (though sometimes i think it is the actual opposite heeheh) Not all of us have the time to spend hours spit polishing rims and tires...but i am sure everyone likes a clean car...

Hey, JustDSM. How do you keep your exhaust so shiney? I want to do the same with mine. Mine's stainless steel too.
I'm on the same bandwagon with you in regards to the topic. I can't afford a new paint job right now so I try to keep mine clean.

Cars get dirty. You can't keep them clean all the time. Judging by the fishing polls he probably went fishing and that is how the car got dirty and grass inside the car. Probably ate the chips and stuff on the way back.
As for the brake dust and curbed rim. The factory brakes are bad with dust, he may not have the time to clean them everytime he gets out of the car. Accidents happen and I'm sure he didn't mean to curb his wheel on purpose. I can tell youwhy the wheel hasn't been replaced though. Because it costs over $500 for just one rim from the dealer. Maybe he thinks it isn't worth it. I wouldn't replace a factory rim unless it wasn't holding air.
My car stays clean all the time, but I be damned if someone was to give me ****, take pictures and post them on the net to make me look bad.
I think I would have to beat dat ***.

either way the guy who owns that red Evo doesn't give 2 ****s about it... the crud, the curbed rims, and the filthy interior are all obvious signs...
whatever though, it's his car... not mine...

Show him this thread.

by the way. Who the **** said we have forged wheels? Our wheels are heavy as hell. Forged 17'' wheels should be around 15 lbs. Ours are what? 22? 24? We have regular aluminum alloy wheels.

I think it's 22-24 with tire. Without the tire, it's a little less than that... but I could be wrong.

I personally like red better and silver is too common!!! There is like ten million silvers around here in Houston. I saw red like twice and several blues and whites. I like to keep my evo clean as best I can. For those who don't give a **** about how dirty their cars are, well, too bad for you. I believe that a nice car like an EVO deserves to be well taken care of and kept clean if possible. I like to go fast looking good!!!!
That's me. Peace....
Oh yea, I saw one nasty looking black evo when I was at a meet one time. This evo is by far the dirtiest, nasties looking POS I have ever saw. Not only it looks dirty, but the interior is all jacked the **** up. The roof carpet is all rip out and ****. THe car smells like *** too. No offense to anyone, but come on now, it deserves better than your riced up civic!!!!

Awesome pics! I guess my financial standing influences what I do, and what I don't do in my car more than I thought. While I agree you do have to drive your car to enjoy it, playing in the gravel, mud, ect is not necesarilly mandatory. My car is FAR from babied as one might think. It's routinely sideways, in power slides with all four spinning away with the motor singing @ 7K+. I dont ***** fart around.
I do however value the finish on my car and pride myself on a "clean" looking vheicle. I'm not sure I can accurately get my point across here. Basicly it comes down to me barely being able to afford a car of this caliber, wanting to keep it for many years to come, and have the occasional stranger say "Nice car" every once in awhile. It seems the majority on this board are either much more financially endowd than myself or have no problems thrashing around in their $30K car.
Never the less.. a
to all.

Ultimately, as long as you enjoy your car, that's great! And as long as the poor fellow with the messy car enjoys his, that's great for him too!
Cheers!

I see guys with the clean cars and I think "cool, looks nice". Hell yeah, props to ya. But, at the same time, I don't want them hatin' just because I DON'T keep my car that clean. Respect my filth and fun, and I respect you shine and fun. Hey, and even with the coating of mud, I still get the "nice car" comments from those in the know.
