Car doesnt start every once in awhile

Whats up everyone, my name is Steven and im new to the forums. Just picked up a 06 IX a few weeks ago. It was previously owned by my cousin. Tried starting the car after work today and it wouldnt start!! car sat for rougly 7-8 hours. it wouldn't even turn over. i turned the key to the on position, waited a few secs, start and nothing! after trying to turn it on about 7 times in a matter of 20 min it finally started. this is the 3rd time this has happened to me. The car has 13,200 original miles. My cousin babied the hell out of the car and only drove it 1-2 times a month just to get the fluids pumping. car is modded with bolt ons, cams, etc. Maybe the starter is going bad because its been sitting in the garage for majority of its life? starter relay? My cousin told me he recently got a new battery for it so i doubt thats the problem. Any help will be appreciated!

My starter just went bad on my IX a month or so ago, started with the car struggling to start. Got it replaced before it totally crapped out and now it fires right up without any issue. Don't really have any other input on the issue unfortunately, good luck.

My 03 VIII had a similar problem that ended up being a bad key tumbler/barrel on the steering column. I would have to push up on the key as I turned it to start the car. Just another possibility. Good luck.
