ACD question!!

I started my car earlier today and the traction, gravel and snow light came on. Drove it to work and when i started it back up it was back to normal. Does this mean i need to change the ACD fluid? Car currently has 13,500 miles. Does it need to be serviced? btw i have a evo ix gsr.

No harm in changing the fluid, don't forget to bleed the system when done.

Did you change the brake lights to L.E.D's?

When mine started to do that it eventually got to where all three were always on. The fix: a new ACD pump. Luckily, I got Mitsubishi to pay for the $2200 part and I just had to pay the dealer $300 or so for labor.

There are *lots* of threads on here about ACD pumps going bad due to corrosion. Hope that's not it but read up on it...it's a common but expensive problem.

I might give that a try instead of changing the pump, thanks!

Bleeding these is not easy. There is a trick to doing it correctly. If there's any air in there you'll get the lights all the time. You'll probably need two people also. Again it's covered in the wealth of existing threads.
