alright guys my evo just hit 50k miles and all of a suden I am starting to have a problem at half throttle my rpms at 4k is have trouble getting to 5k at about the mid 4k it doesn't pick and then it drops back to 4k rpms then finally starts picking up speed also feel like it doesn't have the same power anymore

seem like it's time for clutch.

 

if the RPM jumps and car dose not pull that means your clutch start slipping

Lol, don't rely on the internet to diagnose a car they can't even see. From your description it could be many things.

 

LOL! 900 miles from you but what about the owner before that? Just a guess based on your symptom and my experience but please come back and let us know what it actually is when you find out.

 

Wait like has trouble getting to 5k because it doesn't rev quick or have power to, or goes from 4-5k real quick but no power difference. I read has trouble like doesn't pick up the rpms quick, but I may have just read it wrong. If your having trouble revving up from 4-5k doesn't sound like clutch. But if it freely revs from 4-5k but no felt difference in power then yes sounds like clutch. But as previous poster said it's hard to diagnose without seeing car, would be easier to take it to a shop n have them look at it, just make sure it's a shop that specializes in evos.
