Gsc s2

Got my hands on a set of original s2's, and was wondering if anyone has run them on stock springs and retainers. If so, any problems so far, and what boost level?

Most people with s2's do springs anyway while you are in there.

Not recommended but if you do keep the rev limits under 8,000. 7500 to be safe.

Just picked up some springs from off here, might as well knock out two birds with one stone.

Smart move and good luck with the setup. You'll enjoy the cams.

The stock keepers are fine. Order the spring and retainer kit from GSC or Kiggly..

My buddy broke all his retainers on his when he left his S2's in which ended up causing him to to drop a valve and rebuild the motor. I would highly suggest your do springs and retainers if you put these cams in.

^ditto. I broke a few oem retainers as well, fortunately I didn't drop a valve. Do springs, titanium retainers and seals while doing S2 cams.
