Alright peeps,
I’m in a predicament and I need your brains. Long story short I’ve been rebuilding my Evo IX for about a year now. Slow I know, but I’m running MAP short runner exhaust mani and their EF2.5 series turbo with turbosmart internal wastegate. My Mishimoto radiator and mishimoto slim fan don’t clear. Specifically the fan. I’ve looked for more slim radiators and saw the CBRD 1” radiator and it looks awesome but it looked less awesome at the 600 buck range. I know there is price when it comes to quality, but my wife says a lot of other stuff and I’ve probably spent too much at this point anyway. What’s everyone’s opinions on this?

 

Sub'd. I am sort of looking for the same thing. Had to make dents (yes, with a hammer proper) in my current radiator to clear. :}

 

I'm doing some research and i found one guy who used a 92-00 honda civic half rad, and it's cheaper than the evo 8/9 half rads and you do some simple modification to install. I'm gonna go for a better brand than he used, and probably use a high cfm 10" fan with zip mounts. This is the link to the write up if you're interested.
