I am looking for the best option for quieting down my exhaust. I have heard that bad placement of a resonator can make the car louder or no change.

My current exhaust consists of
T3 tubular manifold > 3" SS down pipe > 4" aluminum just past front sub frame > 4" vibrant aluminum muffler.

I would like to know what style resonator I should use and the best placement for it to help quiet down the exhaust. I am mostly looking to help resonate the sound near idle/cruise, but WOT would be nice also.

 

from what i found, the more forward you put things, the quieter it will be than further back.
see if you can put the aluminum ultra quiet resonator i think stm sells. or vibrant i forgot who. i believe they have a 4" one.

 

I just bought the stm bolt in race muffler, which goes were the cat goes. It made my car much more quiet.
