Evo Viii Hp
Evo Viii Hp
Can someone direct me to the link of this post...
"Did you guys read the related article in that Autoweek site? It's in the right top corner, in that article it says the Evo will have 252hp, Brembos, and Recaros as standard with price below$30k"
I have seen the pervious artice on autoweek stating that it should be close to the Jspec 276 hp. Can't seem to find the "252hp" article. I seriously hope its not only 252

Was this the link your talking about.
"Due in late January, the Lancer-based Evo for us gets a turbocharged, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine making in excess of 250 hp, which should put it close to the 276-hp Evo VII sold in other parts of the world."
I don't think they are sure. At this point only mitsubishi knows. They are basically telling us between 250 and 276.

If the WRX does 0-60 in 5.4 and a 1/4 Mile in 14.1 the Evo will be a much faster with 25 more HP. Assuming they both weigh about the same...can anyone confirm?
Not to mention, the 8 will be lighter than the 7 beacuse of the absence of the ACD and AYC (that is if they don't include it).

Soleman...
Yea thats the one. I guess both articles are right, vague, but right. I suppose "252hp" is just as the newer article said "in excess of 250" Not necessairly close to 276 tho.

It will be interesting to see what the final specs are for the US version of the Evo.

What does it matter... anyone who can afford this car should be able to afford the basic boost controller ecu intake and exhaust which all together is good to set the car at least to 310hp
