Just about to pop on a 3M clear bra but I'm interested if plastidip might be a better DIY substitute

the "glossifier effect" goes away after a few months and the clear with not be like a normal clear coat. Go with the 3m bra it will be much better.

I'd go with the 3m. I've heard better feedback on it than plastidip. (I sell them both at my workplace)

Can the 3m clear bra be used on carbon fiber parts?

I've heard that DYC sells a new glossifier that supposedly doesn't get the "fade" look after being in the sun and lasts quite a while. I'm not 100% on this, but my buddy dips cars professionally out of his shop I could probably ask him if you're still up in the air on what to do.

Anything will help thanks, I just want to know if spraying glossifier onto a black bumper will look like crap or acceptable to the eye. I can't stand going out for a fun and comming back with a little more road rash on the front, if the glossifier will prevent this I might as well give it a go
