Evo IV AYC to cusco LSD

Hey guys,

So my evo is leaking AYC fluid into the diff fluid, so am looking into buy a cusco 1.5way LSD to replace it. Has anyone done this before?
I am just wondering if this upgrade will be worth it? Will it improve handling noticeably?

Cheers.

I'd be cautious of doing this as you aren't fixing the weakness of the AYC diff which is the casing.

So you go off and buy a nice fancy new LSD, fit it, then drive it hard and the casing blows apart and you've just wasted a whole bunch of money that could have been put towards either a later evo AYC diff or an RS diff.

+1 on that. the RS diff is the best option but the regular evo 8/9 gsr diff will work too.

My Evo only has 305hp at the flywheel and i have owned it for 3 years now. So wouldn't the casing have given out if it had wanted to by now?

And what is involved with the evo 8/9 AYC conversion? as i don't have the cash for an RS diff

Thanks

That power level isn't pushing the diff, put another 100 ontop of that plus launches then you would be.

As far as I know, an evo8-9 AYC diff is a straight bolt in jobby, plus they are aa little bit stronger than evo4-7 ones.
