stock weight of Evo8

I've been thinking about one of those G-Tech meters. And one of the things it needs is the weight of the car.

Are the numbers on the Mitsu websites good enough for that purpose? Could they be deflated a little? I guess I'm curious if they'll weight the car without the CF wing or maybe the spare tire or something.

Also, anyone actually weight their evo? Not sure where to get that done.

You need the curb weight. Look on the sticker on the inside of your drivers door. The curb weight (3260lbs) will be listed right there. Remember, you need to input the total weight of the car as tested....so be sure you add in the weight of the driver and anyone/anything else you have in the car.

The cf wing weighs like 2 lbs. Don't sweat it.

so presumably "curb weight" means car weight with all fluids full?

Exactly. Full tank of gas, full windshield washer bottle, just as the car would sit at the curb waiting to be driven.

I'm pretty sure the curb weight quoted is for a car with -all- options.....wing and sunroof.

GVWR weight also includes weight for driver and passengers for enough seats in vehicle. subtract 180 pounds for each seat NOT occupied from the GVWR weight listing on the driver door jam for "true" curb weight.

The GVWR is the maximum safe driving weight of the car. That includes the weight of the asses in the seats as well as the junk in the trunk.
