Front what I've seen and read with evos, methanol injection is useful if you don't have access to fuels like 93 oct or e85. You can obviously use it with those fuels regardless but it just doesn't seem to be super common on this platform like it was my old one (Audi).

It was extremely popular between 2005-2010.

Yeah that's what I saw when I was researching builds over time. It seemed as though it was being used during a period of time before tuners could really extract full power from the turbos available.
Now that they can get the turbos power output up to the stock limitations of the block, methanol injection use seems to have trailed off.

The problem with meth injection is that it is a non ecu controlled fuel source. So if you have a second controller then you need to find a way to link the two systems, and have fail safes. I ran the aem kit for a long time and it worked very well for me, but once e85 was available without having to drive hours to get it I made the switch. If you are going to run meth make sure you buy a good system and be sure to measure you meth to water so you use the same % even after your tune.

If you're going to do water meth, buy a quality system. Aquamist is probably the only company I would go to for a W.M kit.

would really love to have it from you but you need to ship it to me if i'll get it...

is it safe to run with no mods aside from ic pipes for the nozzles?
a guy told me that I need to replace my head studs for it to be safer. is that right?
