Lifter tick really do suck. I think I will go with OEM lifters to resolve my issue as well. For a little comedic relief I leave this here;

By no "oil" in the lifter I hope you mean "air"

Wow I don't completely agree with you, and here's why. A constant sound would be somewhere along the lines of a piston slap,rod bearing,valves bending, something in those lines. As you accelerate it would get worse and worse louder because it's there. A lifter simply ticks because there is not enough oil psi reaching that lifter or It's not reaching it fast enough to lubricate it so it ticks. Why ? Because when my car is cold and I start it. Starts beautiful, no ticks, nothing because there is a good amount of oil psi reaching the head to lubricate everything faster. When I accelerate my car you don't hear the tick it goes away since there is oil psi reaching the head and all the components. " " master tech words" anyway I was told to just take the valve cover off turn the car over and let idle, and I will see quickly what's causing it if it's from the head or not.

Yea the itm lifters came hard packed with oil,some blue Lube inside. I bled them till nothing was in. Later then I made sure and compressed them with my finger to make sure they go down nice and then I put them in.

I pretty much think additives that you put into your engine are either totally unnecessary or just complete rubbish and will do nothing bar maybe giving you expensive smoke from your exhaust. So with this in mind I was looking for results with cynical eyes when I purchased a bottle of the stuff in the link above. I run GSC R2's and whether it's because of them or because of worn lifters I suffered from pretty loud lifter tick, maybe more of a clack than a tick. I had read somewhere about the ProMa products and people had said it worked well in quietening down Mitsubishi lifter tick. It was pretty cheap so I got some and put it in my oil. I decided to make a before and after video (they're on the Facebook link) just so I could see if there was any difference at all. I was pretty amazed at the results, I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't hear it myself. I don't even know where you can purchase the stuff in the US, or if you can, but it does work. Just a note, I have absolutely no connection with the brand or product and pay full retail for it when I purchased it.
Yeah, I was thinking maybe some of these engines are accumulating deposits on the valve stems resulting in the valve not fully closing. A compression test might be what to do here. A valve not returning to battery would cause noise. Anyway, the right cleaner might be the solution if this is the problem.

The Pro Ma is not a cleaner it's a oil additives with little microscopic metallic ***** in it (I think) that act as a super lubricant. Don't exactly know what it's doing but it fixes up lifter tick in seconds. I don't know if you can get it in US but it's really worth chasing up.
