I have a sound at my engine bay, its definitely an exhaust leak. How do i locate it? I think the gasket where the exhaust manifold connects to the head is bad. I changed it with an autozone "felpro" gasket and it seems that the noise only got worse, ended up putting the original one back on. Any tips/ideas? Should i stick to oem gaskets or are there other ones i can buy?

 

From what i have seen the oem cast manifolds like to warp. You will want to use the multi-layer gasket, but if its too warped even that wont do it. The best thing to do is to take it to a local machine shop and have them machine it flat again. You can locate the leak by spraying soapy water around the flanges and watchings for bubbles.
