Thinking of selling
Hey guys, I'm trying to get a general idea on what a 2003 Evo with 80k miles in the NYC area could go for.
It's stock, tough I do have an aftermarket bucket seat. Have to look up the brand though.
I got it at auction with medium front damage. Had to replace the crash beam, intercooler, radiator and a few minor things, rebuilt the TC at Bushr (IIRC), but that was at 45k miles with no other issues. Never launched or abused it.
So I'm not really sure what frame damage PO's crash caused but I do see small concave dimples on either side of the sunroof at the front. So obviously it reached the roof. The gaps on the bottom of the A pillar also do seem closer than one would expect.
I have someone I know taking a look. He's been involved with cars, like building limos, restoring cars and general body work. Offered me $7500, given that he'd likely straighten the frame up a bit. I paid $8400 for it in 2010, plus the parts for the front and the TC rebuild. What do you think? It could be an easy cash sale for me.
Love the car but kinda looking for something quieter with a 6th gear and leather. Short list are the GTI and R. Love the looks of an X but fear it might have too much road noise for road trips and such.
Appreciate any input.

LOL. Maybe not everyone would have the same eye as this guy. I've been driving it past 5 years with no issue
But yeah, inclined to get out of it almost scott free, and maybe even look at the X.

Just depends on what is more important to you, time or money. If you would know someone that pull the frame for a decent price, then maybe you would want to go that route. However, if you don't know anyone that will do it at a good price or you don't want to spend more time on the car, sell it!
