need help AC on my car blows hot air

ok so all of a sudden my AC stops working, my first though was that my refrigerant was out, but apparently its not, haven't changed it ever since i bought it. i bought a refrigerant to refill it, so I connected it but it was in the middle of the RED color witch is obviously bad, but iv checked my compressor clutch it was working, do i need to flush the system? Do i need to clean any filter or do i have leak?

With the engine running & you press the AC button, do you hear the compressor engage which puts a definite load on the engine?

Is the AC light illuminated? If so, & did you feel the load on the engine?

Possible compressor issue or hopefully just a refrigerant issue? Might be time to visit an AC pro

I went through this last summer. Drive for a bit with a/c then hot air. Took it to the shop and they found the charge was a little low. I had them pull and replace the refrigerant with the proper amount. Same problem.

Next I replaced the clutch. It was shot. Then I noticed that when I was removing the cap on the low side schrader valve I got a little hiss. So, there was the cause of the low refrigerant. So, back to the shop for two new schrader valves and another recharge.
