It's been real

Hey guys, it's been fun, like a lot of fun owning my car. First owner since 2007, almost 10 years now and it's never disappointed me. I just traded in my graphite gray IX for a 535i M Sport. I know it not the same but wanted something different, really I wanted to have both but budget prevented that. Dealer already got the car up for sale but have no clue as to the mods or history of it, so I just wanted to let new owner know they can PM me if they have any questions. It's being sold in Houston by a BMW dealership.

It's a little sad, I second guessed myself the entire trip to the dealer, over 3 hour drive, closer I got, the more I wanted to turn around lol! Felt less than trading one car another and more like a family member was leaving and I wasn't going to see them again for a long time if ever.

Long story short, during the long drive back, I really started to like beamer, the change from super stiff ride and loud road noise is definitely a welcomed change. Though not as fast, it does have some aftermarket support and it got a ton load of features I didn't even knew existed lol!

Left a link with pics of the new ride for you all to see

Again, it's been real guys https://goo.gl/photos/1iMkuWKVT8tvAcmC6

Guessing the dealer gave you good trade in $? I'd personally like an m235i, but you know, 4 doors and I'm cheap.

Yeah we negotiated back and forth for a while, for them to take $3k off the M Sport but ended up getting $17k, about a $1k less than I wanted for the EVO.

I believe it's at Advantage BMW of Houston. If that really is your Evo, they marked it up quite a bit from $17k to $26k.

They sure did lol!

Here's a link to the photos that I sent them when I was going through with the trade. https://goo.gl/photos/JftxvCfDwiRxwcteA

The paint is faded but if anyone is interested, not just whoever does end up buying the car, but anyone who's got a graphite gray that needs to be repainted, I got the paint, clear coat, reducer and primer. I was going to pay $1,200 to get it repainted since I already had the paint but ended up making the trade the same week I was supposed to get it painted lol!

The IX will be a collector someday, especially since people continually total them and stock is quite rare. I recommend people hold on to them but to each their own, the Bimmers are nice.

I would have if I could have financially, sure I could of just kept it but I felt it was just that time. I've always wanted a Bimmer, but the EVO was definitely my first choice back then. That said, don't regret the change, can't beat all the added features plus turbocharged straight 6

If it was a Evo IX, why does it have an VIII steering wheel?

The glue that held the leather in the original wheel started to let go, car was still within warranty so it was replaced for free but with the wrong metal color. I could have had them fix it but it took like 8 months waiting for the replacement, I didn't feel like going through that again

I always imagined it being called Bimmer instead of Beamer.

Good luck with the new ride, I just joined the fellowship of evo and enjoying it so can't imagine losing mine anytime soon but my German choice would've also been a BMW.
