your not understanding how the process works. You save the rom from your ecu to your computer, modify it, then flash it back to the car. You can read the rom with evoscan, then open it up in ecuflash to make the modifications, save it, and then use evoscan to write it back to the ecu.
Uninstall whatever Ecuflash you have and delete the main folder usually in program files if the uninstall doesn't get rid of it. Then install this older version of Ecuflash: http://evoecu.logic.net/mirror/ecufl..._setup129a.exe
If it is able to read your ecu then your cable is fine and you will be able to use EvoScan to read and write.

Does anybody know why the video in the thread doesn't work? If anybody has a video on this I would really appreciate it. Thanks

Ok so I'm getting really frustrated . I bought evoscan in a hope that it would recognize my car. Well I was wrong . For some reason it still doesn't recognize my car. I remember when I first got the cable it use to read my car no problem with ecu flash. Now it's being stubborn. This would be the first time since I tuned the car that I'm trying to connect to the ecu and it wouldn't work. since I bought the cable it would be the secound time. So the first time when I hooked up before the tune it worked fine. Please Help
Sounds like a driver issue. Un-install all Tactrix drivers and reinstall. Un-install Ecuflash and associated files and do a clean install of the application.
Also, you don't use Evoscan to tune, it's for data logging.

I've I uninstalled all the USB ports and reinstalled them still every time I plug the USB in it says it didn't install or it says Windows can't recognize the input
Do you have a different computer you can try it on? At this point its sounding like your cable might be toast, but the only way to really tell is to try it on a different PC. If it still wont recognize the cable then you will need to replace it.
I do have Windows 7 professional could that be the reason?
ive used it on all versions of windows with no issues. I did have a 1.3u cable go bad on me. Inside the flash cable had rubbed through its insulation and was shorting. I replaced it with a 2.0 and decided to tear the thing apart to try and fix it. Even after repairing the insulation it was still toast. This happened after many times of use though.
