Definitely try using a different computer. That way you can see if the issue is with the cable or the computer. My laptop also runs Windows 7 pro and I don't have any problems. I am using the Tactrix 2.0 cable though.

 

I think it's my cable because I did use a Windows 7 and a Windows 10 computer with no luck. What's wierd is that this very cable use to work I've cleared codes and my friend scaled my injectors with this cable. I mean why would it stop working out of nowhere. That's what's confusing me

 

Does it data log in EvoScan?

 

No. Every time I plug it into any computer a popup come up saying device can not be recognized.

 

Is there a way to reprogram the tactrix? Like upload updated softwear onto the cable itself? Or I should look into getting another cable?

 

The driver for the tactrix is wrong in your computer. You need to delete that driver and then plug in your tactix. The computer will treat it as a new device, and redownload the driver and it should work.

 

So if you have re-installed your software, and your computer still doesn't recognize it, and if you have tried installing the software on another computer and that computer did not recognize it, then your cable is faulty. The 1.3U does not have the option to update the firmware, even if it did, your computers aren't recognizing it. At this point it seems pretty clear that the right move is to buy another cable.

 

I would say it's a good investment to get a tactrix 2.0. You can do more with it..

 

+1 on the Tactrix 2.0 . Works with more cars, plus it can be setup to do stand alone data logging to an SD card. I have my 2.0 pretty much always plugged in doing stand alone logging with a wideband wired into my rear 02 input.

 

Ok guys I finally got another cable. I got a smog map from my Tunner but when I flash the smog map and check with my scanner it shows emission is ready but only 3 are ready but all the other ones show not available? I open the force patch and change the values to zero for the monitors that are not on our cars but nothing happen. Here is a pic after the flash any help is greatly appreciate it

I had the same problem when I switched to tephra v7. The addresses in some of the obd stuff are wrong. Took me awhile to figure it out because you have to change back what you have now to what it would show stock and then change the addresses. I'd send you what needs to be changed but I'm at work now. If no one else can help I can walk you through it if you're ok with editing xmls. Did your tuner happen to send an xml file with the rom?

 

edsct9a my tunner just send me the maps. im new to the ecuflash. is there a way to get the xml file from the map or does it have to be send to me? i would really appreciated it if some one can send me the right xml or map so i can flash it and get it over with i am on E85 map if that helps at all. or if i can send someone the map and they can edit it for me and send it back that would be awesome. i just want to use that map for smog reasons. Thanks in advance.

 

It's most likely a tephra rom. You can download those from this forum but you will have to edit the xml. I can do it for you but it will have to be later in the day. Is this a different rom then what you normally run?

 

Well I explained to my Tunner my situation and he send me a stock map and a timed map. That's all I got. I have dual map 91 and e85. And it's fine if im you can do it tomorrow if you don't mind because I'm going out of town for the weekend. If you do that for me I would really appreciate it. I had the same problem, my rear 02 was not ready. I found my original tuner and he forced the update and now even when I take the battery off the I/M monitors area always on pass ready.

The past 3 smog I did was even on E85 it's just this year since they only do OBD check.
