I'm looking for a unicorn, can you help me?
Hey guys, I've looked everywhere for a clean low mileage (under 50k miles) all stock or mostly stock Wicked White Evo 9 and can't find it anywhere. Been looking for the past 2 years and can't find anything. I've tried cars.com, craigslist, evo forums, etc. NOTHING. I'm looking to collect it and have about $30-40k to spend on getting one. Is there anyone out there that has one or know of someone that is selling one?????? wicked white only.

You can't expect to find one that specific with that low mileage... at this point, you're talking about one that was a weekend car, since that would break down to just 5k miles annually. This is now a ten year-old car, one that most people bought to drive and not necessarily keep stock and/or hardly take out. I have a bone stock Evo IX SE with 97k miles, and at this point (considering the car has been around for about ten years) that's actually one of the better examples.
But if I remember correctly, I think South Coast Mitsubishi here in Orange County still has their "new" WW IX MR in the showroom, but they might want more than $40k.

^ last I heard Abas wanted 60k for it but it's had the SCM stickers on there since 06. He also had the GG MR one there too.
I have my silver SE with 24k which sees light about 10 times a year. The one time I decided to take my previous evo out, and old lady backed into my rear door. That made me want to keep it in doors and safe

That doesn't surprise me.
People totally missed their chance when those first surfaced and they only wanted sticker, then everyone was complaining and saying they wouldn't pay sticker for a 4-5 year old car. Then the bar was raised and those same people cried about it.

If I didn't own one, I would buy this one.

Still rough on the car. 2011-2014 and could have hundreds upon hundreds of runs/events. Transmission could very well be grinded to hell and back, could have been run hard and abused every single time. No thanks. I've autocrossed the hell out of mine and seen how and what other people do with their cars at the events.

I've been autoxing my car for 5 years, something north of 600 runs I think... still on the OEM clutch. The only mechanical failure I've had was my front wheel bearings dying, which I'd expect with a ton of camber. The truth is, autocrossing one of these things *on street tires*, especially at the STU trim level, is just not that hard on it. It's an Evo... if it's been well maintained, as that one has, autocross is absolutely nothing to worry about.
