Looking to buy an evo 1 but have some questions?
Is there even any aftermarket for it? the shifter bushing's need to be replaced do you guys think it would be a hard to replace or to find parts for this gen? And can parts from the 5 and 6 fit in it like they do with the 4? Also is there more details about this gen i could find?
its also a gsr model is the vlsd a pain to repair?

Parts aren't that hard to find, but not as easy as the 4-9's. Parts from Evo 1-3 are interchangeable (depending on what they are) but they're not interchangeable with 4-9's.
If you're in North America many Eclipse GSX (90-99) parts crossover to the E 1-3 mechanically. I know a few guys online running the E1 trans but needed some modification (different rail lever being the only difference I think) to use it in their GSX. You would already have that different rail lever though. A personal friend of mine had an Evo 2 transmission in his Talon and I think just had to swap out the front diffs.
My point is mechanically parts aren't so bad, and partsooq is always there. Exterior parts can be swapped with the pre 96 (Might be off by a year in either direction) Mirage. They obviously don't have the Evo's unique vented hood. Whenever you buy an old exclusive special edition car just be willing to accept to pay more and sometimes have to wait a while for a part out or something. I've been waiting for a good condition Evo 4 hood to pop up locally in good shape for six months with no luck yet, and they aren't half as rare as an Evo 1.
I also see you're in Alberta, if you are looking at the Evo 1 for sale in Edmonton I will gladly come look over the car for you. If you're going to look at the one in Calgary that is $3,000 I would beware. The owner says the only issue with it not running is a cam sensor. A super easy fix that even the noobiest driveway mechanic could replace in under an hour.
