Looking own EvoX soon but have questions
Well after owning a 2013 WRX literally brand new for a year, i had to sell it because payments were too much and wanted to free up money.
Now I have the chance to get into another car. I was between the WRX/STi and Evo.
I have chosen the EvoX since i have ALWAYS wanted one.
Now the issue is, since Mitsu is no longer going to manufacture this car, what will happen if this car breaks down? Will it be hard to get parts?
What about the value of the car?
I do not plan on modding the car at all engine wise. Maybe sway bars but thats about it.
Let me know your opinions.
Thanks.

I just got mine used so I don,t have the experience with this car that many others on here probably have, but I don't think there is much to worry about. Mitsubishi will still be around and there is huge aftermarket support for this car because of its popularity. I think it should hold its value even better because they will stop production eventually. Go for it.
I'm assuming you're in Westbury, UK. tell me so? the Evo will continue to be produced here in North America so no worries on finding parts. The dealers will still be in business so they can mke repirs if you need and you always have us for advise.
Erixon84,
I'm confused that you said that you're getting rid of a NEW WRX because it costs too much to now get an EVO X ? ? ? I'm not sure if you are aware, but the Evo isn't exactly a cheap car to own/maintain either. Here are a few things to keep in mind:
#1. Be sure to get an insurance quote BEFORE buying the car. Last thing you want is insurance sticker shock on top of car payments. I went from a POS 2001 Hyundai Sante Fe (prob worth $2,500 at the time I sold it) and paying $60/month for full coverage to a 2010 Evo X with the same coverage/deductible and now pay $65/month. Its great.
#2. Look at threads on here on average maintenance costs for the car. While it will be much higher if you plan on modding, some things like the TIRES will definitely give your wallet a shock. I believe the stock Advans go for about $1,400+ per set. This can be a shock especially since they don't last long. Also, look at finding a good shop where you can purchase your own parts, bring them in, and have the shop install them. The dealership will screw you over BIG TIME on maintenance costs. Only time the Mitsubishi Dealership sees me is on recalls.
#3. Gas CAN costs a lot depending on your driving. My commute to work is under 3.5 miles round trip so gas isn't bad for me. If you drive far, you will be spending lots of $$$ on gas once the price(s) go back up.

The way I understood it is that he could afford to keep his old WRX he sold it and now he can afford it again but is looking to get and Evo instead. I think he understands the costs involved.
Yeah sorry guys i didnt explain myself. I couldnt keep the WRX because my payments were too high. At that time i sold it because i needed to free up money. Now I am at the point where i can buy a car again and can afford it.
I am in Westbury, NY.
Ill definitely go for it. Ill be going to Wantagh Mitsubishi in Long Island since my father in law has bought 3 Mitsu's there and the owner knows him.
The only thing i want in the Evo is the sight package along with a sunroof, GSR.

I thought production would stop at the end of this year, 2015.
