which look do you guys prefer, wing or no wing? and if wing stock or gt style or w.e....go!

 

I'm wingless and like it. I'll put the stock one back on eventually. Personally I do not like the gt style wings or time attack huge gargantuan wings....just my opinion.

I switch back and forth. Have my OEM trunk that I had to fix because of the rust at the wing mount holes, that's redone now and wing is remounted properly this time (thanks mitsu) lol.

Also have a Carbon Trunk painted TB.

I like both looks, though I appreciate the lil to no attention it gets wingless. That and the carbon piece is a lot lighter.

I would like to mount Trunk shocks for sure for easier swapping though haven't seen it done before, def never seen a kit for them, can make anything work but not getting into any fab work for silly trunk struts.

Or I can just harden the f up and buy the tool for installing the trunk torsion bars. My buddy has one but an hour ride to get them put back in is a PITA. When the carbon trunk is on I don't run them obviously.

I've heard you can use just one and it works but heard it can stress crack too, Some get the RS bars when they go wingless not sure how they are with a carbon trunk vs the RS wingless trunk.

 

I think I like wingless a little more, but I also currently have two trunks and will switch between the two once I want a different look, haha

 

Just a though for ya. Of all the vids I found on the net of Evos spinning out at high speed, ALL of them have no wing. :\

No wing. Too many people mess with you with a gigantic wing... probably because they want to see you fly.

 

gone both with and without for many years. I say yes to the wing. Its part of the character of the car. At least thats how i feel at this point.

I got an Evo with a very low trunk carbon fiber wing. This wing is nice but I wish I could find a yellow OEM wing in good condition and put it back on. The wing makes the Evo an Evo IMO and not just another Lancer.

PS cops suck around where I live. First Evo I had years ago I believe the wing was what was getting me noticed and pulled over all the time. With this little CF wing I haven't been pulled over yet and this Evo is waaaay louder and illegally tinted all around too. First one was stock. my $.02
