Cool whatever, I understand that was a while ago so I show him a screenshot of our old text messages as proof.

Even though he relented and followed through on his word, he no longer replied to my texts in a timely matter. Sometimes it took days to respond, other times he would just flat out not respond to my texts.
I took that as a sign to look else where. Not a dig on Christian, he was a great dude to work with but that was off putting.
David,

I just saw this and thought I should respond and apologize. I assume you already have been tuned on SD and that's good. I'm glad someone took care of you. Also want to let everyone know I think David is a top notch guy and has a beautiful 05 RS! I have no issues with him at all.

Email works best for me as it's hard to be under a car or tuning a car and respond in a timely manner via text or FB messenger. Email is best because I can read and respond when it's safe to do so (usually after I'm done tuning around midnight). I get @ 10+ messages an hour while working. I'm getting better at returning texts and messages right away, but it does distract me from my work. Trying to come up with a better way. I realize people want me to respond ASAP when they text, but they don't want me to respond to people when I'm tuning their car (which is understandable and I don't). Calling works too, but you have to leave a detailed message if I don't answer. I don't answer calls for the same reasons I don't text. I answer whenever I can and always return calls.

I looked at my text on June 23-24, 2016 and after 24 text back and forth on those days I did miss getting back to you. I quickly looked over your text and got back to tuning and hadn't remembered to get back to it a week later. I was just thinking that I hadn't heard from you and then apologized for being tardy in response to your text and you said it wasn't a problem. There weren't any other lapse in response to your texts more than a day or 2 (13 texts) until the last one talking about scheduling. I was tardy 6 days. I have no new excuse for that. I responded and never heard back. I don't have any records of not flat out responding. If I did that then I apologize for that too.

It's true I did offer to re-tune your car on SD for a reduced rate due to not needing to start over since all the parts are the same. I asked him for a screen shot as it didn't make sense to me at the time (busy summer time) to tune his car for 4-6 hours for $200. He did send me a screen shot from 4 months previous when I did say that. So I said, "Perfect. I can hardly remember yesterday. Can't remember February." Then texted about scheduling.

All in all I really am happy you were taken care of and apologize if I was off putting. I did read you're having some issues with rev hanging when you clutch in on your new tune. I'm sure your tuner will help you, just go back to him to make it right. Tuners, generally, are happy to fix minor issues. LMK if you need anything. Sorry I wasn't able to tune your car, but in the end this will help me with my communication with future, present and past customers, including you if you ever need me.

Thanks bud! Hope to see you soon!
