ETS intercooler now has a screw on Bracket instead of weld?
I just received my ETS intercooler and realized it came with a screw on bracket instead of the welded on one. How long has this been going on?
I understand the purpose for shipping BUT I've seen many on here installed with no issue on a bent bracket etc.
My problem is, not only does this not look as clean since you can see the bolts, I live in Cali where they do visual inspections and this makes it look less OEM.
I've checked the site and did not see any option or pictures that asked for a weld on or drew on top bracket
I've check other forums that ETS sells to and they seem welded as well.
No one has ever cared about my 3.5" ETS intercooler. Now the AEM intake with a CARB sticker!? Guy went nuts over that. Looked it up, typed in the number to verify, etc. Also went crazy about not having a sticker under the hood that says the car is turbocharged despite the vacuum diagram and the VIN being paired to a turbocharged vehicle in the smog system. You'll be fine.
