Evo 8 stripped head bolt

So long story short, my turbo oil feed line (head side) where the banjo bolt connects is stripped. I removed the bolt and it had the aluminum head in 2-3 threads fully.

I tried to put it back in to see if it would tighten down and it just kept turning. After cleaning the bolt.

So looking at my options.... I could pull the head, and heli coil it, but that is a lot of work

Or.. purchase one of these and hope the new bolt that blocks that area can grab some threads.

The easy way out would be using the MAP oil feed line. They include a bolt to block the head feed, you just might have to JB Weld it in there (and fix it properly whenever you pull the head). I am running the MAP feed line, no issues.

Oil other thing i can say is prep the area good and allow full dry time for best results

Installed kit today and everything went well. Drove it around the block a few times and rev'd to 5k, let run for probably 10 minutes and NO LEAKS!

I did not end up using the 2 rubber orings that came with the kit or the oil filter gasket thing ? Maybe they are for different purposes?

Either that or I messed up...
