Well, I replaced the crank sensor and put everything back together. I tried starting the car and nothing happened. At this point, I have to temporarily give up. I am getting married in less than a month, so I have less than zero time to work on the car. Fortunately we have other vehicles to drive and can afford to have this car down. Since it is a low priority, the car will sit in the parking lot until at least after the honeymoon. At which point I will have to decide on
1) Paying a shop to just fix the car. It is obviously beyond my capabilities and resources at the moment (working in a small 1 car garage in my apartment complex).
2) Set the car on fire, watch it burn, and roast marshmallows. Drop the fuel tank first though, of course
3) Sell it as-is. Take a loss but get some cash and remove headaches.
4) Keep it as-is until we are ready to buy a house and have a real garage with a lift. Yes, my fiance has agreed to get a lift in our garage when we buy a house. My plan has always been to basically blow the car apart once we got a house and do a mini restoration on it.
